No Pay Makes Owen Violent

Hello.

Not much has been happening in my life… I’m still at work, which I can say is getting much better.

Through my uni I get given money to re reimburse some expenses (basically a scholarship), anyway, unfortunately I have not been paid this money, 2 fortnights in a row (3 fortnights if I want to be really pedantic). I am finding not getting paid a huge de-motivator… If you ever want me to feal really bad, and not care about uni, don’t pay me!!! Anyway I am thinking of chasing this up proactively next week (taking it up with the head of school).. (Although the sooner I get paid the sooner my mum will stop paying for things for me, so I might put it off.)

In other news, Yesterday I wen to the BIS Sports day. It was good.. I met my uni friends, played a little bit of sport, talked to my friend, In all lots of fun.

Unfortunately this sports day just proved to me that I am hopeless at sports and I am not fit.. It also showed me that I am not a team player… Well the little amount of time I did have to play sports did not allow me to improve, I have not played sports for over 4 years.

Whilst playing soccer as the goal keeper I picked up the ball and kicked it directly into Eric’s forehead. Not a very nice thing to do, I did not even say sorry… See, I’m violent and not a team player.

I am sure Tim has some photos on his blog. I will not bother waiting for him to post them on the internet so I can put them on my blog ripping them off as my own.

Oh well… I have a bit of uni work ahead of me. In the next 2 weeks I have to do a 1000 word Assignment, 20 min presentation, 3000 word essay, plus I’m starting 2 subjects this week… I feal this will be a high workload… Oh well… I suppose this will all pay out WHEN MY UNI FINALY PAY ME and I get a good job!!!

Have fun everyone. Cheerio.

More Work

Coming home on the bus today, a guy got my bus home from the parklands. Anyway, gets on and asks "which one of you is the ugliest white fella".....He was loud for most of the trip.. But not vulgar, abusive or aggressive...

Half way on my trip home the bus driver asks him to sit at the front of the bus, he refused insisting everyone was ok with him.. The bus driver gets on his radio and abut 20 mins later the transit police got on the bus. They took down his name and were gong to allow him to stay on, but he got upset about giving his name, so they took him off the bus with the promise that they would drive him personally to his destination.

I thought it was funny.... They guy was annoying, but didn't make me feal unsafe.... Just one of those retards that you have to live with.... Anyhoo… So from that I now think my bus drivers are really nice (As he dealt with it very un-aggressively) but my hatred for public transport is just that little bit more reinforced.

Other than that work is going ok, As time goes on im getting more into the swing of things. So I’m happy…

On the note of the plastic chair, I have included picture (taken with a crappy phone camera) just so you know it’s artistic…

Cheerio... Bed time for me...

Work

I have had a very busy week since my last post. I have been working at The Department of Education and Children’s Services. I have the role of the project manger with the project of deploying an anti virus management system throughout the department.

A couple of thing that have happened that I find noteworthy:

  • I was sent home on my first day of work. Not through actions of my own, but thorough the lack of desk or computer to use.
  • My boss was away for 2 days, so I had no one supervising me on those days.
  • I had a plastic chair to sit on. After sitting in a chair for one full day my back ached.

Anyway, the place seams quite good, My project is very cool. I’m looking forward to completing it.

Cheerio

Owen.

BIS Presentations

BIS Presentations

I am now getting into my university studies for the year. On part of my studies is to work at an organization conducting a work with something to do with information systems. Anyway, On Thursday I went into uni to watch the presentations of the people a year above me (In terms of working at a business placement.)

Anyway, A group were giving their presentation and my "boss" encouraged us to ask questions, so unfortunately I asked a relay mean question that stumped a group.. I am sooo sorry guys..

Anyway it was fun looking at the presentations, they did good jobs and I think I have learnt a lot from them for when I do my presenattion. The only problem is that there was a prick named Owen asking questions..

Anyway. Here is a photo of Tim and me after the presentations.
