OMG, QUIZMANIA

TV has sunk to a new low.

Big brother has a late night live streaming TV show. As part of this show they have quiz type questions to earn them some money. Out of this came the crappy TV show “Hotdogs Uplate”. However to compete with this channel 9 has developed a show, Quizmania. It is deplorable, it’s awful. What’s worse they have replaced Letterman for this crappy show. They are even transmitting it in High Definition.

I guess the good thing is that this week, the last week of Bigbrother Up Late they have been forced to differentiate their show and they are showing more actual live footage rather than trying to peddle they stupid money gabbing phone in quizzes.

Oh well, better get to sleep for work tomorrow :-P

What Paramedic?

My last couple of blogs have involved uni talk, so this one might as well. Yay, I passed, so I will not be forced to go back to uni. I got 2 credits, I would have liked to get better grades, but considering the effort I put into uni this semester, I’m happy. Why didn’t I put in a huge effort? Well I’m very sick of uni and consumed by a couple of suckey things in my life.

But, Last weekend I did manage to go see a couple of my school friends who now live at Port Pirie. It was once again nice to catch up with my friends. As they live a couple of hundred kilometres from my house it was a nice little drive. As I was driving out of my driveway I realised it was the first day of school holidays. Amazingly the highway was the least busy I have ever seen, so no evil overtaking cars/truck was needed, yay for my school holidays theory being incorrect.

On my last night up there I decided it would be a really good idea to really hit the alcohol. Half a bottle of scotch and a third of a bottle of absinthe was my poison for the night. I say poison as this amount of alcohol delivered me with my first experience of forgetting half a night. Seriously, I cannot remember the paramedic helping me out.

My memories of the missing half of the night extend to waking up the next morning and thinking of a couple of words of my friend complaining and thinking was that a dream or real?

I have an interesting email address, I get all crazy stuff including people thinking I am my ISP and asking for help and providing me with their passwords. It’s fun to respond very vaguely and have people sending aggressive responses back.

But anyway, recently I’ve been receiving heaps of emails pretending to be a bank and asking me to give them my internet banking details. Last week I looked back on my an email and the website they directed me to still exist after 5 days, my theory, the banks do not care. I don’t care either :-P But a win for Microsoft, 90% of the websites they direct me do not run IIS.

Anyhoo, I think I have included every type of topic today to have bore everyone who read this at one stage, so it’s time to end this. Sorry for the lack of photos, i left my camera in my car when I went on my little trip.

Cheerio.

Uni Exams No More

Yay, I no longer have any uni exams. I had my last exam a couple of weeks back, It was a good feeling. So much so that I have been bragging about it and telling every sole I see.

As the end came to my degree I was getting more and more sick of uni. The subjects near the end did not interest me at all, I did not put in as much effort as I should have and could have if I was more motivated. The good thing Is that my career is heading more towards they types of subjects I did at the start of my degree rather than the ones at the end.

Last week I had a koala visit my front yard. I live about 1 Km away from the nearest bush area, so it must have been on a big detour. It fascinated my neighbours who insisted on taking photos of it, Not to be outdone I decided to take some. However when it came down the tree at night I spotted it and took a couple of photos, but did not get close, those things look evil, their claws are huge!!

My 7 month old puppy is starting to grow big. So Big he can no longer be bathed in the laundry sink. He’s also a little bad, decided to chew up my dads prescription reading glasses one night last week, Poor glasses :-P

The company I’m working for turned 71 the other day, so to celebrate I got a jar of corporate branded jellybeans. They certinally keeped me hyperactive for the day! Howevere, I unfortunately missed out on the company sponsored outing to the Star City Casino to celebrate the day.

I had a big push last week at work with the end of finical year for a client, So I’ve had a bit of a cash influx :-P But I did have enough time to notice how cool my SecureID token is, (For those of you who don’t know what they are, they are a little display that displays a number that changes every 30 seconds, you need that number to use the computers at on of my clients computers) Anyway, it’s cool as most of the numbers on mine are repetitive, I like nice looking numbers.

Even with this busyness, I have had my eye’s open to the most smallest of details like normal. During the week I noticed that one of the clients at my work had the wrong phone number in their email signature. It was interesting telling them and to hear their shock that no one had ever picked it up. If you know me that sort of tells you that I’m still functioning as normal :-P

Anyhoo I better go now, Cheerio.
