UNI IS OVER

YAY, That time of my life has ended. I no longer have anything to do with uni apart from taking my degree at a graduation ceremony. Assuming I pass, I now have a master’s degree.

Anyhoo, for the past 3 or so months I have been doing a work placement for uni. So as the tradition goes with my degree, all the students present to a whole group of business people. These usually include managers for IT in various companies and government departments. Braking from tradition, this year us students set a challenge for ourselves, Mention 3 song titles form a band during our presentation. I chose the Villidge people and mentioned In The Navy and one of their other songs, I am who I am. Anyhoo, I tried to outdo everyone by stretching that YMCA dance at the start of my presentation. (One of their songs slightly related to my presentation)

A special mention must go to Reverend Timothy for his question of one of the other studnets doing my degree, It went somthing like :

"yeah, it seems like you’ve taken a sad situation and
made it better. I imagine this would’ve been a real
change for the users, you seemed to shake it up baby.
Are you going to hire a trainer to hold their hand
through this, or just throw them the manual and let it be?"

OK he has 3 Titles and 2 lyric references, but that’s a brilliant effort considering he got the question out strait after the presentation and considering the chalange was to include them in presentations and not questions.

Now I was fairly stressed, I only had a couple of hours of sleep, I had just spent a couple of hours running around uni trying to print my assignment off, having printer jams, printers printing incorrectly, and then finding I did not have a cable for my memory stick thingy to give my presentation from (but all ended well). So anyway, I was very stressed, and this came out in a totally over enthusiastic presentation. I even had people accusing me of being on drugs :P (hence The picture of me above taken after the days events.)

So anyway, since then I has been full on, after the presentation

  • I went for drinks at a pub with my uni friends after the presentations,
  • Moved on to a uni friends house for more drinks,
  • Went down to a pub a Victor Harbour for some drinks,
  • Drove 8 people in my car to a house in victor harbour for drinks (and they all were big guys),
  • Drove back to Adelaide,
  • Caught up with friends and got driven back down to a town near Victor Harbour to meet some other friends and play beach cricket,
  • Got driven back to Adelaide to have tea in town and to go out drinking in town,
  • Catching up with a friend from high school who has just got back from an overseas trip for a year and a half,
  • Watched DVD’s over at friends house and had a couple of drinks,
  • Moved sheds around a friend's grandmother's backyard to get a free beer,
  • Went to a friends house again to watch DVD’s and have a couple of drinks,
  • Totally pull apart my laptop to fix it the hinges between the display and the system unit thingy,
  • Put my laptop back to together (YAY it works! Dont try pulling thoes things apart unless you know what you are doing, OK?),
  • Went clubbing at Flashdance, HQ (The new version of Timewarp at Heaven, basically retro themed night) Actually I must say it was dead to what it use to be, but since allot of uni students are studying for exams, there is no wonder. But there was enough room on the dance floor for me to dance :P

So that’s my past week. Too much drinking probably, Yes I know, this is the 3rd time I have finished a uni degree, But it is the first time I have had the chance to say no more uni for me! All in all over the last week or so I have been very relaxed, Things are on the up :-D

Cheerios.

Steph, I am too ready for my new phase in my life. Some people help the shift in their uni phase to their work phase by going on a nice European trip, I take only 1 week off. My Loss.
