Working

It was my first week at my new work this week for an IT consultancy firm, and it was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately this should have been my second week, for various reasons my start was delayed yet again. But once started, I got stuck right into the deep end. I got stuck into my job so quickly that most of my first day was charged against the client I’m working with.

Tonight I attended the monthly staff meeting for work, at a hotel. I have to say, staff meetings are entertaining after a few free beers! I paced myself though :-) So far I have come to the decision that the company looks like a really good place to work at.

Last weekend my friend’s who now live at Port Pirie came down, it was nice to go out with them and the rest of our old high school friends. We did not get up to much, we were going to have a big night on the alcohol, but I decided against that idea, What has the world come to??

I have actually been a little sick for the past couple of weeks. Because of the pathetic sole I am, I had to go to the doctor and get some medicine, even though I was not that sick, It was just a niggling condition. Now, I did say that I delayed starting my work for one week, well that was a good thing sickness wise as it gave me an extra week to recover.

Jackson, my puppy, is going along ok. One thing I have noticed about him is that his ears are longer than his snout, so whenever he eats or drinks he gets his ears stuck in his food / water.

Uni has been fairly tedious recently. I will be happy when it’s over. In reality I only have 3 weeks of classes left, and then no more classes, YAhhhooooo!!! Wow, I had not thought of it like that up until now.

I don’t think anything else of much excitement has happened in my life really. Cheerio I guess.
