YAY, A Job
I have sort of been up to allot recently, however I don’t really feel like I have.
Work wise, I have had heaps of ups and downs. I have been doing some part time casual work, which was really fun, excluding the time when I was carrying a CISCO switch across the city and got caught in a rain storm. I think I left a really good impression at that workplace.
However, I have been waiting for a while to get some work as an IT consultant on a part time, 3 month contract. I guess the wait was a good introduction to consultancy as the client took about a month to sign the contract even though they looked keen to sign at the beginning. So, I’m now an IT consultant for the next 3 months.
However, I might be a consultant after that. I’ve been tentatively offered a job for next year, so if the terms and conditions are right, that might be what I will be doing next year and for some time to come.
I was getting a little worried about obtaining a job for next year (after I finish uni). I decided not to apply for the big four accounting firms, a decsion I was starting to regret. I was almost swaying towards the option of going interstate to Canberra to work for a federal government agency, who knows that may still happen. I sort of think leaving Adelaide would be a good thing for me in some ways.
I’ve recently been trying to fix a couple of issues that I have had clouding my life for some time, but have been unsuccessful in fixing them. I just want to close a couple of chapters in my life and move on. I’m trying to get my head around things by understanding the past and then move on, I am an over analytical person after all. But I don’t think that’s going to be possible due to various reasons. I’m just not sure how to move on otherwise. Maybee I should start by loosing the 10 KG I have put on over the past 2 weeks...
On a lighter note, My dog Jackson is falling apart. Well, to be more accurate he is loosing his puppy teeth. Since he has no K9 teeth at the moment, his grip on things has been severely diminished.
Anyhoo, I think it’s cheerio time.
Cheerio.
