Last weeks and Victoria

Hmmm, Wow have the last couple of weeks have been crazy.. I have been working on this post for a while, but as time goes on i just develop more and more things to put into it, So here it is, finally.

I went to Bob’s party and almost finished off my bottle of absinthe with some help from some of my friends, so I'm almost rid of my evil alcohol. The party was so good the police decided to join us without being all official.

Last week I finished off at work... But not before making an ass of myself. The Australian CEO of the company I have been working at (3000 employees, $600 million a year turnover) was in Adelaide for a visit. Well, as I headed off early to go to uni, I jokingly announced out loud to my boss that I was leaving early to avoid the CEO before he arrives.... Yep, You guessed it, Shock horror on the bosses face, the CEO had already arrived and was in an office 5 meters behind me. Woops.

The next day I also decided to make another comment about the CEO as he was no longer in Adelaide, and yep, another shocked look on my bosses face, the company’s chief accountant (One of the CEO’s main offsiders) was in Adelaide and 10 meters away from me, but this time outside any office.

On My last day I decided it would be fun to walk up the 12 flights of stairs at work to my floor in the morning for a change instead of taking the elevator. As I got up to my floor I realised that I could only use my pass to get out of the stairwell on the other side of the building, Woops!!!

I remembered that I need to tell everyone never to be reincarnated as one of my pets... Why? Well I love monkeying around with them beyond what most people would. Things like taking photos of them just after they have woken up, excessive play fighting. But don’t be afraid, He is happy every night when I rock up from work, he likes me. When I went away on my little voyage (see later) he put on ove a KG, he is going to be huge! My mum also gave him a cheeseburger the other day, bad move. He was for a bit, afraid of dog food, and when I say afraid, I mean he was running away from it.

I had to give a major presentation for uni. When I rocked up to give it I discovered that the presentation was meant to be 30 minutes instead of the 20 minutes that I had prepared for, yep, woops! But since I was already a couple of minutes over, through talking slowly and adding some new stuff in on the fly, the presentation met the target.

After the presentation I went out and had a couple of drinks with my Uni friends, it was enjoyable, but ended quickly. So off to home I went Where one of my Highschool friends invited me out for drinks at night. The night time drinks were quite good, I enjoyed myself heaps, I got very drunk. I even managed to find a place that sort of reminded me of Timewarp (ohh, by the way, heaven might be back soon). When I was out I was felt the vibe that I use to get when I first went clubbing, So I really enjoyed myself.

I then found my way home and managed to blog, woops, I should never do that! Yet more regrets and things to think about when im trying to get to sleep at night. Sorry to thoes people who were affected.

In the morning I was invited down to my friend, Adrian’s place down at Mount Gambier. I headed off by myself trailing my other friends that I went out with the night before. I managed to keep myself entertained by taking photos of things, Like :

I did see some cool large pink flowers that were on a one meter high stalks looking totally out of place in the middle of a dry paddock, I never stopped to take photos, I saw smaller clumps of them in person, but they were not as impressive, so I did not take a photo. I was on the look out for them on the way back home, but missed them :-/

When I got to Adrian’s place we put ourselves in motion to prepare his house to surprise him for his birthday (The idiot organised us to have the keys before he got there)

So we went out and bought some balloons, streamers and other kids party stuff. It was interesting when blowing up the balloons, they would stick to the wall, so without anything other than the balloons I managed to make a balloon wall.

After wrapping his present (in barbie paper just to tease him), makeing his name up in long ballons 1 & 2 (We first tried to make animals, but failed,so did the name insted with much trial and error) and sticking everything up, we shot him with party poppers as he entered his house, He was suitably impressed.

We also headed down to the local fire station as Adrian is a fire fighter and wanted to show my other friends, who also happen to be fire fighters, around the station. I got to sit in and climb upon their trucks :-P

We also headed out to see this huge, huge creator in the ground that happened to be a dormant volcano. It was impressive, and a big walk. We also saw some cool caves. BTW, some cool photos just there, worth a look!

On the drive back home I drove past soo many trucks, it was amazing :-O It was almost as they are moving the whole Adelaide interstate. After all of that, when I got home I was driving up my street when my cars resident spider who always pops his head up at the mots inappropriate of times, crawled down the windscreen, he survived the trip to Victoria and back!! Congratulations spider :-P

Anyhoo, enough of that bore, here are the rest of the photos. 1 & 2

Work to do

Hmmm, I have noticed a pattern, I'm blogging almost every week at the moment. Everyone I know to have said something like that have stopped blogging shortly after making the statement, so I guess I’ll see what happens hey...

Well this week has been exhausting, my week pretty much ended up with, and involved with me handing up an averagely written 120 page assignment... Work has been cool though, I have not felt that much pressure this week, so I'm happy...

What’s up for next week, well I have a 10 000 word report to write, a 20 minute presentation to do for uni, another presentation to do for uni (but that one is 30 minutes) and an hour long presentation to do for most of the Adelaide staff from my work (who are mostly consultants, so they are brilliant at speeches). So its going to be a big week next week!

This is one of the first weekends I have had for a while where I don’t have a bunch of work to do. So I will relax before I come across next week, although that relaxation will include writing up the presentations....

The puppy has been interesting this week, I have had fun with him, pretending to put him in the fireplace, making him run around after my camera (I will not think that was a clever move, he will most likely one day chew it apart) and watching him eat whilst sitting down. Unfortunately “His life has already ended”, metaphorically, as he went to school during the week, puppy school. Apparently he put on 2.5 KG, or about a third of his weight, since last time we weighed him, rather good for one week??

ohwell, after this week im free, so look forward to blogs from me that do not consist of me complaining about my worklaod :-P

Too much coke :-|

I love coke!! I'm addicted to it :-P When I was in high school I decided to keep the ring pulls of cans of coke that I have drunk. In the past 8ish years I have been quite diligent in keeping them, So after a bit of counting I discovered last weekend that I have drunk and kept ring pulls from over 1500 cans of coke.. That’s over 500 Litres of the stuff, and that does not count coke I have drunk from containers other than cans.
Or put it otherwise I have drunk:
• On average, about half a can a day,
• Just under 60KG of sugar,
• Just under a quarter of a million calories, Did you know that is enough energy to heat the water of a lane of an Olympic sized swimming pool by 1 degree Celsius?
I think I need to end this bad habit. It cannot be healthy. I have actually successfully dropped coke out of my diet, and I think I benefit from it, but coke keeps on finding its way into my diet..

In other news, work is extremely hectic at the moment, I have so much to do, and only have 2 weeks left. To add to the workload at work, I’ve got a couple of big uni assignments I have to do that I have not done much on so far, woops :-P.

I think the highlight of my week was when my friend Khun called me from Japan. It was really nice, even though she woke me up and I ended up having only 2 hours sleep that night, a small sacrifice to hear from her. So far she is enjoying her job over there allot :-) and she has managed to get herself a shared phone line, so she will soon be on the internet :-)

Over the weekend I went out with my friend Tim who has been interstate recently. We started off in the suburbs, went into the city and then back home, via a breathalyser. The night was interesting, people being stupid, oh well, that’s alcohol. However I was happy to see that even though I was being a complete barhumbug, the people we were out with were being soo friendly back to me, YAY people can be soo nice :-P I was even introduced, by Tim, to a fellow Adelaide blogger who looks at my blog, cool hey (no, not cool someone looks at my blog, but cool that I could actually meet them...)

Anyhoo, more photos of Jackson are available, he seems to be having an ok time, I was playing fetch with him tonight.

Anyhoo, the sooner I attack my uni work the sooner I get to sleep so cheerio..
